Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the fit?
I use actual measurements that you provide to create a product for your dog. Be sure to include all requested measurements and the breed/type of dog if possible. The more accurate your information, the better the fit will be.
How can I get accurate measurements for the best fit?
I have measurement diagrams in each listing with specific locations. You should use a seamstress's tape measure to get the most accurate measurements, with your dog in the standing position. I realize that dogs may not hold still, may be growing or you may feel uncertain about the information you obtain. I can always be reached at coatsmadebyde@gmail.com for assistance.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on product and size, but includes shipping USPS ground advantage. The untold savings are in getting a quality, well-fitted product that will work for your dog for years.
What if it doesn't fit or it doesn't work for my dog?
Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, things don't work quite as well as we'd like. Working at a distance can sometimes lead to inaccuracies. If fit isn't correct, I can generally alter the product to make it fit at no cost to you except for shipping. If I made a mistake, I'll cover the shipping as well.
If the product doesn't work for your dog, you can return it and I'll refund your order less a 20% restocking fee. If you decide to cancel before I've started your order, I'll refund the entire purchase.
How do I decide which product is best for my dog?
Dogs vary in size, build and many other features. Even within a specific breed, there are variations. I provide descriptions with each of my products. If you need more assistance, I am happy to discuss the needs of you and your dog to help you get the best product possible.

When you order
Please include all details including your dog's breed and measurements according to the diagram in the photo section. I'll confirm receipt and ask for any needed clarification.
I will generally have your order completed in about a week. I'll notify you of any exceptions. Should you desire faster completion, please contact me to see what can be arranged.
Shipping is USPS First Class or equivalent. Priority upgrade or other shipping services can be arranged.
If you are ordering from another country, please contact me for shipping costs. Any additional taxes or fees will be the responsibility of the buyer.
Returns or Alterations
You are purchasing a custom made product. Every attempt will be made to provide the perfect item. If you find that something isn't quite right, please let me know and I'll do what I can to make it so. Generally, no refunds are allowed.
